Nighthawks began as an ode to the city, a buoyant and energetic look at the narratives and perspectives that make up the humanity that creates every metropolis.

The costumes were designed to feel eminently wearable; sporty and energetic, full of color and life. We partnered with artist and muralist Charity Hamidullah to develop vibrant and meaningful textile designs. She created twelve original artworks, utilizing photography and painting techniques to bring additional layers of intention into the costumes. These were printed on fabric and carefully digitally recomposed into garments. The costumes were cut and constructed by the Atlanta Ballet costume shop.
